DAWN™ study during pregnancy from Italy
Recently a study about women with gestational diabetes has been finalized in Italy and the report is now available. Conducted in 12 Italian centres, the study focused on the care and aid of women with gestational diabetes. Read more
DAWN workshop on stigma at Novo Nordisk MediaPrize 2009
The findings of stigma in the DAWN study were presented at the DAWN workshop during the international Novo Nordisk Media Prize in Vienna, September 2009. Present at the media workshop in Vienna were 50 journalists involved in the medical media community. Read more
The DAWN Award 2009 Ceremony
This year's DAWN Award went to Dr. Sanjay Kalra, Bharti Hospital, India for his project on coping skills strategies for youth, and was announced at the Novo Nordisk hosted symposium on DAWN Youth “inspiring change in clinical care”. Read more

The International DAWN Award 2009
At the 4th International DAWN Summit, Novo Nordisk announced the DAWN Award 2009. Individuals, research centres as well as non-governmental organizations can apply for the DAWN Award of 15.000 EURO by June 30th 2009. This year the award will focus on projects and activities that can improve the lives of young people with diabetes and their families. Read more
The 4th International DAWN Summit 2008
At the DAWN Summit/TPE congress on November 6th 2008, more than 600 leading experts from 40 countries were sharing visions, successful projects, and state of art patient research. The evaluation showed that 89% said the Summit had improved their understanding of psychosocial and self-management support needs of people with diabetes and the tools to address them. Read more

The DAWN Youth Survey Results
The DAWN Youth survey was finalized beginning of 2008 with more than 6500 people having responded to the webtalk questions. National DAWN Youth boards involving all key partners in diabetes nationally and an international steering group involving representatives from all key stakeholders in the diabetes community will work together during 2009 to make a real change for families with diabetes based on the results. Nora's Notes - an interactive guide
Nora’s Notes are written by a teenager with diabetes who understands daily life with the disease. The Notes are genuine, honest, and frank – which is what any young person or those who care for someone with diabetes should understand. “Her writing made me stop and recognize some of the challenges about diabetes I may grumble about but can not clearly verbalize”, explains DAWN Youth ambassador Dana Lewis in her review of the interactive guide.
